First Review

“I have just come back from Shanghai and visited the famous JZ Jazz Club and also the trendy Brown Sugar BUT the best was to come on our last night. We hit the world famous House of Blues and Jazz and were treated to a world class performance from the Mike Null band. I was fortunate to hear and see them and also meet the band – a great bunch of guys and talented international musicians.”

Saw you guys out last night and had a blast with your music. I was part of the birthday-celebrating, swing and blues dancers. I can only speak for myself and say that I had a great time enjoying the music and the great blues covers. I’m from the States and a big fan of good live blues music wherever. Just wanted to say thanks for a bunch of great sets and hope to see you in the Bay Area at some point. I’ll point out your band to a friend of mine who’s in the blues and dance scene out in Korea, too.

When blues gives me goosebumps on my back, this is a clear sign that the right people are performing it. You guys are drunk – drunk with music! Best band I have heard at the Blues & Jazz in 8 years.

I’m from Burlington, MA, USA. I travelled almost 8,000 miles to spend two weeks in Shanghai in November 2009 only to discover a fantastic local (for me) band at the Shanghai House of Blues and Jazz. The Boston-based Mike Null Blues Band is absolutely fantastic. The virtuousity of each of the guys blends perfectly. In a small venue like this their personalities come through both on the stage and off. I need two hands to count the nights that my friends and I were there. I’m waiting to see & hear the video and audio recordings done in the last week of the gig.

Now that I’m back home, I can’t wait to travel 5 miles to see them again!
